The John J. Franklin Public Works Complex is situated on a 36-acre tract of land in Lakewood, New Jersey. This new facility consolidated various inadequate public works buildings into one major facility that better suits the needs of Lakewood Township’s growing population.

The new complex features a masonry administration building with offices, lunchroom and locker facilities. A state of the art truck wash facility is a highlight of this new complex.

The steel framed, metal paneled structures provide outdoor storage for approximately 245 municipal vehicles, in addition to storage of seasonal items and a canopied area covering 27 bays of salt spreader and snow equipment. Also included in this complex is a police vehicle maintenance facility and wood framed salt shed.

The Gibson Tarquini Group was instrumental in assisting the Owner with initial programming and design documentation to expedite this major project within 6 months.
