The Gibson Tarquini Group was retained by the School District of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia School Improvement Team to renovate and expand both Penrose Elementary and Motivation High School with a shared addition. Both schools share a contiguous urban site.

Motivation High School and Penrose Elementary School will receive an addition linking the schools together containing a new gymnasium, cafeteria and support space. Renovations for educational upgrades will include a new media center, guidance office, admin. offices and science labs. Major classroom upgrades, window replacement, ADA upgrades and other health/safety upgrades would also be part of the project.

Penrose Elementary School renovations include major classroom renovations, ADA upgrades, window replacement, roof replacement and other health/ safety upgrades. Both projects are being designed simultaneously under the School District of Philadelphia's $1.6 Billion School Construction Initiative.
