Cherokee High School has added 210,000 SF of space to its existing facility in Evesham. The addition was built on the existing athletic fields, and the athletic fields were moved to the newly acquired land adjacent to the current property.

The addition will contain a 1,500-seat state-of-the-art auditorium that joins the two sections of the school. The auditorium is used as a community theater, creating a supplemental use for the facility.

Also included are two levels of classrooms, part of which are new science labs and industrial arts facilities. The music area in the existing facility was renovated into a smaller auditorium to be used for rehearsals. The addition contains a new music area, complete with instrumental and choral music rooms and private practice rooms.

Technology is a major part of the facility. Using the Media Center as a hub, the entire school is networked by a LAN, and linked to other schools and administrative offices by a WAN. The entire school is ready for extensive use of computers.
